Chip was found as a duckling abandoned at Lake Champlain. A kind woman, who is a wildlife rehabber, took Chip in. Chip lived in the house and had a very happy life where he was loved and doted on. As he grew into an adolescent duck, his mom was concerned he didn't have a full life where he could truly live as a duck. So he came to live with us- and now forages for bug snacks and takes dips in the pool with the other ducks. He still lets us pat his bill, eat food from our hand and occasionally touch his soft feathers.
